In Arizona, there is a higher concentration of these kinds of vehicles in Arizona due to the recent population growth, the continued increase in single family housing units, and the proximity of the Phoenix area to most recreation attractions. The high acquisition cost of these vehicles combined with the destructive nature of the Arizona climate, strict new HOA rules, and the overcrowded nature of outdoor RV and Boat storage facilities are causing owners to seek indoor shelter to protect the value of their investment. Since the cost to rent an indoor slot can be 2-3 times higher than traditional outdoor storage, a new trend is emerging where owners are instead interested in purchasing an indoor storage condo unit. Purchasing enables them to realize the same benefits of ownership as they would with most other real estate, while at the same time, providing a safe and secure location to store their vehicle where it is well protected from the elements and vandals.

Project Overview

Arizona Personal Storage in Surprise AZ, consists of about 320 individual storage units that can be sized to fit most any type of Boat, RV, Travel Trailer, Motorhome, Off-road Vehicle, Collector Car, etc. The units will be constructed of Steel; they will have a locking, sectional, roll-up door, lighting, electricity, ventilation, and fire suppression. The units will be located in a 10 acre, electronically secured, gated facility along with amenities such as a sanitary waste depository, self service wash facility, bathroom and showers, potable water, and a detail/valet service. A state of the art video security system will permit owners to view the facility and their unit 24/7 using an internet connection. Special software will permit both live and stored images to be reviewed by the individual owner without special training or a key operator's assistance. There will be an owners association, similar to a HOA, with bylaws and minimal association dues to cover basic electricity, security, grounds maintenance, and liability insurance. The project is located in the City of Surprise, Arizona near the corner of Peoria and Bullard avenues.

ENCLOSED AND SECURE STORAGE

The most important reason to store your Boat, RV, or other valuable property in a secure and enclosed structure is to maintain the appearance and preserve the resale value. Think how nice it would be to pick up your RV or Boat on a Friday afternoon and use it right away without having to wash 3 weeks of dirt and grime off.

Our sun, while providing warmth and light, emits harmful and destructive UV rays which are hard on RV and Marine surfaces. Over a short amount of time, exposure to the suns rays will chalk and fade painted surfaces, turn plastic parts yellow, and cause rubber parts to crack and seals to leak. When outside temperatures exceed 100 degrees, the inside spaces can reach 150 degrees or more which can warp and crack wood cabinetry, dry out glue used for assembly, and make plastic parts brittle. The sun, rain, dust and other environmental elements can cause pre-mature wear of critical roof surfaces and roof mounted accessories including satellite dishes, roof air conditioners, radar units, etc. Storing your property in an enclosed and secure place insures it is protected from the elements and vandals, while reducing the amount of time and effort spent washing and waxing.
